Panoramic Photos

When I travel, I try to take a sequence of photos that I can later join using a program called autostitch. I use it because I am lazy, and it is easy to use.

View from Novotel as Panoramic.

Phi Phi Island Jump Girls

Also while on Phi Phi Island, I bumped into these Korean girls.

"Kim Chiiiii"

They were mucking around with their camera to take some action shots, so I asked them if they would mind if I took their photo, with my camera (doing some sort of action). Jumping was the thing that Korean tourist seemed to like to do for photos. So with the promise that I would send them the photos, they lined up, and jumped.

Jump !!

Now the address she gave me did not work, when I tried to email her the photos, her loss :) As I still that these photos for my blog!!

Sugar Palm Spa Resort Kata Beach

This was a really nice hotel, with a pool in the middle.

The rooms were clean :

It was quite cheap too.

A short 5 min walk to Kata beach.

Patong Beach Walk (part 2)

As I walked along Patong beach, I did not just take photos of girls, I just posted it first, as I knew that is what most of you wanted to see :)

I also took pictures of the beach.

Bar Girls and Lady Boys

Where would a trip to Thailand be without at least one picture of some bar girls.

Night Girls

and some lady boys.

Lady Boys (and one boy)

Editors Note :

Many people have commented that the one on the right has such a nice body. This "girl" had a deeper voice than me. The thing around "her" neck is to hide the Adam's apple. "She" might have been post-op, because it was not to obvious (even up close) where "she" was keeping "her" meat and two veggies.

Phuket Zoo

Phuket zoo is an ugly, smelly old zoo, with not much on offer. I forget the entrance fee, I think it was 600 bhat ($24 AUD). I kept telling myself that maybe it was damaged by the Tsunami, and all the animals were washed away, and all the cages were broken (I know it is probably a lie, but I felt better).

There are only three things you do in Phuket zoo.

1) Crocodile show.

Man holding croc.

2) Watch some Elephants do tricks.

Elephant stands on a beam, with a hula-hoop.

3) Have your picture taken with a tiger.

The tiger was too tired when I walked past. Maybe all the photos, and the big heavy chain around it's neck so that it could not move had something to do with it. I have no pictures of it for some reason. I think it was too dark, or they were in the way to stop people taking their own pictures. (you could buy a photo)

Elephant Ride

An Elephant ride will set you back 800 bhat, per person (about $32 AUD) for a 30 minute ride. There is also a 10 or so min stop in the middle for the Elephant to rest.

This is my Elephant coming to take me for a ride.

My Elephant

Once the Elephant leaves the stable, it is open highway, and the Elephant can really open up and get moving.

The Highway

There is a small rope wrapped around the elephants tail, that stops the seat moving forward.

Elephants Bum

There was a big hill to go down, I am sure the Elephant enjoys going down it.

Steep Hill

If you are interested, the elephant has an accelerator, and I am sure a break on the other ear.

The Accelerator

Walking through the rubber trees, we noticed we were being followed by another Elephant.

Another Elephant Rider

Once back at the ranch, it was time to feed the elephant, for only 50 Bhat more. ($2 AUD)

Phuket Customs

They are not the model of efficiency or speed.

It took one hour to clear customs, and it was only one plane that arrived at that time. No one before or after. Maybe if I had been at the front of the plane things would have been better.

Anyway, for those who want to know, there was no visa required, you are granted one on entry..

(see mum, I knew I was right)
