Panoramic Photos

When I travel, I try to take a sequence of photos that I can later join using a program called autostitch. I use it because I am lazy, and it is easy to use.

Scooter Hire - Last Day In Phuket

Well it is my last day, so here as some highlights of what I found while I was on the scooter.

I saw a lot of tsunami warning signs all over phuket.





Down a side road

The Big Storm - Koh Khai Island

On an island, there was a big storm about to hit.











We had to leave the island pretty quickly, and I was unable to take pictures on the boat during the storm, through fear that my camera would get wet.

When the boat first arrived, there was no one on the island, it was a great looking place.



















But it wasn't long till the island was full, and all the people on todays tour were in the same place.

Phi Phi Island Jump Girls

Also while on Phi Phi Island, I bumped into these Korean girls.





They were mucking around with their camera to take some action shots, so I asked them if they would mind if I took their photo, with my camera (doing some sort of action). Jumping was the thing that Korean tourist seemed to like to do for photos. So with the promise that I would send them the photos, they lined up, and jumped.





Now the address she gave me did not work, when I tried to email her the photos, her loss :) As I still that these photos for my blog!!

Quick Note

Just a quick note for those who are reading this site.

It is currelty 32.8c

The sky is clear and blue.

The water is warm.

The bikini's are plentyfull.

It is so good not to be at work.

Sugar Palm Spa Resort Kata Beach

This was a really nice hotel, with a pool in the middle.





The rooms were clean :









And it looked pretty good at night time.












It was quite cheap too.

A short 5 min walk to Kata beach.

Patong Beach Walk (part 2)

As I walked along Patong beach, I did not just take photos of girls, I just posted it first, as I knew that is what most of you wanted to see :)

Bang-La Road

This street is closed to cars after 6pm each night, and is where quite a few bars are located. This is where you go if you want to see the seedier side of Patong. It was quite safe, if you walk along the edges then you will be hassled by bar girls, and lady boys. If you stick to the middle, then you only obstacle is other tourist trying to avoid the bar girls and lady boys.

There were a few Australian themed bars, all with thai bar girls.

NB: In Ned Kelly's, they were not thai bar girls, they were bush rangers. I am sure there is a double entendre in there somewhere.

Where would a trip to Thailand be without at least one picture of some bar girls.

Editors Note :

Many people have commented that the one on the right has such a nice body. This "girl" had a deeper voice than me. The thing around "her" neck is to hide the Adam's apple. "She" might have been post-op, because it was not to obvious (even up close) where "she" was keeping "her" meat and two veggies.

Phuket Town

I didn't spend much time here, there was mainly clothes shopping to be done here. Mostly girls clothes too. In Phuket town you could get any sort of clothes you liked, where as in Patong and Kata it seemed to be more t-shirts and shorts.

Here is a typical street scene, very typical of asia.





That is a smelly fish market on the left of the picture.

Phuket Zoo

Phuket zoo is an ugly, smelly old zoo, with not much on offer. I forget the entrance fee, I think it was 600 bhat ($24 AUD). I kept telling myself that maybe it was damaged by the Tsunami, and all the animals were washed away, and all the cages were broken (I know it is probably a lie, but I felt better).

There are only three things you do in Phuket zoo.

1) Crocodile show.

2) Watch some Elephants do tricks.

3) Have your picture taken with a tiger.

The tiger was too tired when I walked past. Maybe all the photos, and the big heavy chain around it's neck so that it could not move had something to do with it. I have no pictures of it for some reason. I think it was too dark, or they were in the way to stop people taking their own pictures. (you could buy a photo)

Snake Kissing Show

After going for a ride on the Elephant, the next stop was a Snake Show. 400 Bhat was the entry fee (non negotiable, about $16 AUD)

The idea of the show was to kiss the snakes.

There were cobra's, pythons and jumping snakes.

The idea of the show was quite simple.

Add a snake.





Kiss it.









The whole time tacky music played, and the compare would say "Oh no Jimmy, you crazy.!" "No Jimmy, the snake is angry, you crazy !", "Kiss a snake ?!?! Jimmy you crazy !"

Novotel Patong Beach Phuket

The Novotel is a nice hotel at the far end of Patong Beach. For a novotel hotel, it could have done with some fresh paint, and rust removal in many places.

The room I was in looked like this.







I could see a strange animal out the window,




and the tennis courts.




There were three pools


A few shots during the day













And a couple at night.
