Back In Melbourne

As I was coming into land in Melbourne, the captain said that out flight path would afford us a great view of Melbourne and the CBD. As I am one that does not believe that a passive, non-transmitting device will take the plane down, I grabbed my camera, and fired off a few through the dirty window.

Panoramic Photos

When I travel, I try to take a sequence of photos that I can later join using a program called autostitch. I use it because I am lazy, and it is easy to use.

View from Novotel as Panoramic.

Scooter Hire

For 200 bhat (about $8 aus) you can hire a scooter.

After reading the fine print that basically says, this scooter is uninsured, and if anything happens to it, regardless of whom is at fault, you the hiree will have to pay for it. Slightly frightened by this thought, I thought about it for a while.

So signing a false signature (with my left hand), and handing over my British passport (which I could later claim was stolen) I hired it anyway.

Me Riding A Scooter

It also started to rain this day, quite a lot, I didn't think I would get much use of the scooter, but it was a little better later on, and the following day was beautiful.

The Big Storm - Koh Khai Island

On an island, there was a big storm about to hit.

We had to leave the island pretty quickly, and I was unable to take pictures on the boat during the storm, through fear that my camera would get wet.

When the boat first arrived, there was no one on the island, it was a great looking place.

But it wasn't long till the island was full, and all the people on todays tour were in the same place.

A Few More People

Phi Phi Island Jump Girls

Also while on Phi Phi Island, I bumped into these Korean girls.

"Kim Chiiiii"

They were mucking around with their camera to take some action shots, so I asked them if they would mind if I took their photo, with my camera (doing some sort of action). Jumping was the thing that Korean tourist seemed to like to do for photos. So with the promise that I would send them the photos, they lined up, and jumped.

Jump !!

Now the address she gave me did not work, when I tried to email her the photos, her loss :) As I still that these photos for my blog!!

Phi Phi Island

Stopping on Phi Phi Island for lunch, I stopped to take a few photos before eating. It is good to take the photo, when you first see it, in case it is not convenient later.

The Ute

One thing that I saw a lot of people, that is highly illegal in Australia was people riding around in the back of Utes. There were no seats in the back tray, they just sat on the sides, and in the back.

Kata Beach, People In Ute

Actually the girl in the white shorts next to the ute, when she walked past me a few moments later, had this really angry look on her face. I thought to myself, what is her problem, it is only now that I look at the above photo that I realise she must of thought I was taking her photo..... If I had known it at the time, I could have assured her she was not young and pretty enough to be the subject of my cameras attention.
